Check with your packaging, but generally, if you miss more then one it is suggested that you throw out your pack, start a new pack and abstain from sexual activity for at least 2 weeks. Do not double or triple up on your birth control. More isn't better when birth control is concerned!

Yes! I got pregnant with my second while on birth control. Apparantly you have to be on the pill for 3 months for it to be effective. Didn't know that until my OBGYN told me after I was pregant. Surprise!

Yes, you can become pregnant if you miss three birth control pills. The risk is even higher if you missed three consecutive ones or if the missed pills were in the second week of the cycle, which is when women usually ovulate. If concerned, you can get a prescription for Plan B from the pharmacist.

From experience, all it takes is missing 1 birth control pill to allow yourself to become pregnant. By allowing yourself to miss 3 pills you are also allowing yourself to build your hormone level back to its normal state. We were able to get pregnant after missing 1 pill.
