Can you apply shingles in the rain?

You should never apply shingles in the rain. The shingle will trap moisture between the felt and back of the shingle and will all moisture to drain through each nail hole and damage the plywood.

You can as long as it is during the summer so that the will heat up and seal afterwards. I would suggest not doing this unless absolute necessary. You are better off to have your roof dry when applying shingles to prevent future leaks and rotting of sheeting.

Of course you can but your roof surface will be extra slippery and dangerous, but the shingles don't mind rain, go for it!!!
