Pregnancy is considered to be the most common cause of menstrual absence, but if that is not the cause then yes it is still possible to become pregnant. You may have to take medication and consult with a doctor in order to jump start your period but all hope is not lost.

This is rare. However, you must ovulate before your period comes. It is possible to get pregnant the first ovulation of a returning cycle.

It's uncommon, but it can happen, depending on what is causing the absence of periods. A woman who is breastfeeding, for example, may not have a period for several months after giving birth, but because ovulation occurs before a period, she could become pregnant before her periods resume.

Remember that menstruation is when the egg is discarded, leaving a bloody discharge. If a womans period suddenly stops it means eggs have fertilized, or they are unhealthy.
