Can scar tissue be a cause of vertigo?

I have severe scar tissue and am curious to if that is causing my vertigo?

Answer by  Aleksandr (45)

No, it cannot. Usually vertigo is connected with brain disorders or ear diseases. Tissue scar neither affects balance centers of your brain nor your middle ear.

Vertigo is a feeling of dizziness or spinning and is usually associated with inner ear problems or the flu. While other causes exist, scar tissue is not one of them.
