Can rubbing alcohol kill head lice?

No. Trust me I have tried. I have also tried several dozen home remedies. While they probably used to work so many people have done them they are useless.

I have found this this does not work that great. We have used mayo and tea tree oil. The mayo smothers the lice and the tea tree oil helps with any infection they may have caused. Also remember to wash all bedding and vacume everywhere. This should help to get rid of them.

It does instantly- however just like all the other methods must reapply to kill newly hatched lice. Be careful fumes are toxic and alcohol is flammable. Be sure to cover entire head and removing nits is still needed. Stopped itch immediatly
