Can plecos and cory catfish go in the same tank?

I need to clean one of my fish tanks but am concerned about having to combine the two types of fish in order to do so.

Yes, they can both be put together in the same tank. Both plecostomus and corydoras catfish are very peaceful, and despite their size differences, they will not harm each other. Also, they do not compete for the same food, since the corydoras are scavengers and the plecostomus are algae eaters.

Cory catfish have the great nature of peace. Cory cats will enjoy feeding on tropical fish food which will sink to the bottom of the tank. We can feed Cory cats like algae wafers and shrimp pellets. We can add it to most community tanks. Plecos and Cory catfish will not make any issues while putting them in same tank.

Yes. Plecos are regualar "float" feeders and catfish are bottom feeders so they do fine together. The catfish will eat plecos eggs though.

It is not recommended since Plecos can get agressive towards other fish, though if the tank is large enough they may get a long.
