Can my dog give my parrot Bordetella?

Bordetella as it affects dogs should not pass to birds. However, birds can get bordetella avium, usually caused by infected water, so you need to make sure that your hands are clean, and their water and dispenser is very clean.

No, this virus is not spread from dog to other creatures, it is a canine borne illness that seems to not affect other species.

You need to take it to thevet, the vet can tell you if it can or not. You will need to ask the vet. If you don't want it to give it to the parrot.

Bordetella, commonly called Kennel Cough, is highly contagious between dogs and can be found in cats as well. Fortunately there isn't any evidence to suggest that it's transferable to birds from an infected dog or cat.
