Can lions be tamed?

Overall, no, lions are a wild animal. However, can they adapt to their environment if learned at a young age. Yes. Handlers can make lions more used to/comfortable with humans, however, their instincts will always be there so essentially, they will always be wild, and you never know how they might react to certain situations.

Yes. They can be tamed for purposes like Circus's and Zoo's. Although they are animals meant for the wild and SHOULD NOT be kept as pets. Animals that are meant for the wild can be tame but have the tendency to attack when scared. People have been killed by them.

Although I wouldn't suggest trying it on your own, lions are able to be tamed. Just look at the circus, where they have the lion tamers in the ring/cage with the creatures leading them through a series of tricks. I don't know how hard it is or how long it takes to train them, however.
