Can jogging irritate a sore tendon?

I have a sore tendon and love to jog.

This would depend on where the tendon was, if in the legs, knees, or feet areas, then yes, it would irritate it. However, if it's a tendon in your arm or wrist, you could keep the arm still with a sling and still jog and be okay.

If there has been damage done to the tendon, not only will this irritate the tendon but possibly due further damage. Unless you know what is wrong, I would avoid jogging until the soreness is gone at least.

Yes, a sore tendon may be made worse by jogging. Talking to your doctor is the safest course, obviously. If you go without talking to a doctor first I would start slowly, by jogging for 30 seconds and then walking for a minute. See how it feels!
