Can I put gel wood stain over old wood stain? How?

I would first sand the surface before any more stain so that the new stain has a good surface to adhere to. After you sand it you can apply the gel wood stain.

You can put stain over stain if the wood hasn't been sealed and the stains are of the same type. The stain will be much darker over an existing stain though so be cautious. If the wood has bee sealed though it must be stripped or the stain won't penetrate.

I think you would be able to if you sand the old wood stain down. Then you just rub the gel wood stain over the old stain.

You could but the stain may react badly. You really should strip the old stain off before staining it again. That way you stain will be consistent.

Yes you can put a gel stain on a old wood floor. You just clean the area apply a the stain to a cloth and rub it into the floor. The more pressure the darker the stain.
