It is possible to tackle installing a tray ceiling yourself. However, you will need to have a few tools and a little carpentry knowledge to get the job done.

Yes. But this very much depends on your abilities as a carpenter. If you asked the question you probably don't have the necessary skils.

Absolutely not! I am clumsy and pay little attention to details involving measurements and linkages. The fact that I am afraid of heights would disable me.

  • Just because you are clumsy and afraid of heights (your words, not mine), doesn't mean that the question asker shouldn't give it a try. Installing a tray ceiling is an ambitious project, but with some good planning and a methodological approach, it's doable.
