If you can, go to a fabric shop and buy a low cost pattern for a cap (it could be Dracula is doesn't make a difference), you can buy that and make a few simple modifications to length and style and you will have your cloak for little red riding hood. Find a red bonnett and go off to grandma's.

Buy a large piece of red fleece. Cut off a piece to make a hood and sew it on to the larger piece. Now you have a cape, which can be worn over any dress. Add a basket and you're done.

A simple white dress with a pocketed apron and black shoes, under a little red hood or course. Cut a peice of red shine-y material into a triangle, pulling drawstring style at one end to make a hood.

the dress can be short or knee length. It can even be long if you want to stay warm on those Halloween nights. You can also go to a costume store where they have everything you need. If you are doing it homemade go to a thrift shop and get a red dress. Then get a red hooded jacket.

A prefer a green one, but you can use any color you lke. The good thing about the green one is originality. This is what counts in today's society, unless you proof me wrong.
