Can I buy clippers for my cat's claws?

My veterinarian won't trim her claws.

There are a varieties of clippers out there specifically for cats or for a broader range of pets. Alternatively, looking into pet nail filers might be a better option; as they allow simpler, pain free, nail trimming.

You can..but I never have, I don't see why people do. Cats shed claws naturally and if you're concerned about furniture, behavior training is easily done with a squirt gun, my cats never needed to be squirted twice. Scratching posts made of corrugated cardboard work a treat, and the cats love them. Worst case, you can buy claw caps.

Clippers for cat's claws can be purchased online, at any pet store such as Petco or in the pet departments of K-Mart or Wal-Mart.

Technically you can buy them almost anywhere, but I highly suggest you don't do this yourself! One wrong clip could do untold damage to your cat! One thing I can suggest though is going to see a professional groomer on the subject. They might be able to do it themselves or give you helpful advice as to where to go.

You can get cat nail clippers in any pets store. Cut slowly and avoid cutting the blood vessel in the nail. You can also take your cat to a groomer.

You might change vets. My vet has gently trimmed my cats claws when I've needed to give her medicine. It took about 5 seconds. My vet used regular nail trimmers.

Best places are in larger pet oriented stores. Sometimes you can find them in the pet aisles of grocery stores. Just be really careful, cats aren't very happy when getting their claws trimmed
