Can humans get mange?

I saw someone the other day who looked like he has mange.

Unfortunately yes they can, they can be bitten by a mange mite. They cause you to itch constantly which isnt good. There are two types of mange that humans can catch which are scabies and notoedric mange. Both can be treated with stuff similar to anti-histamines with chemicals in them to kill of the actually mange.

Yes, humans can get a disease very much like the one called mange. Mange is caused by a mite called Sarcoptes scabiei living in/on the skin of you pet and eliciting an immune response from the host. The mite that attacks humans is different, but the symptoms are the same.

There are forms of mange that do affect humans. Mange is caused by a mite, which if it bites, will cause a great deal of itching. The symptoms are similar to those of scabies. Fortunately, in humans, mange tends to last a few weeks and then the organism dies and drops off.

Yes, humans can get mange. There are 2 types of mange. Demodex which is not contagious to humans but sarcoptic mange is highly contagious.

Humans can not get mange, however there are several skin diseases that may appear to look that way, such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes, etc.
