There are several signs and symptoms that occur due to optic neuritis. These symptoms include distorted, blurred or blind spots, reduced color vision and pain when you move your eyes. I am just guessing, but eye pressure could be a sign in the beginning but I wouldn't think so. However, if you have any of the other symptoms, its possible.

Optic neuritis is the inflammation of the optic nerve . Major symptoms are sudden loss of vision or sudden blurred vision, and pain on movement of the affected eye. Eye pressure may be because of hypertension or Glaucoma.
