There are a lot of things that you shouldnt feed your dog because they can catch worms very easily. I would recommend that you go out and buy a good that has a pecan tasting. feeding them things like regular pecans are not healthy.

Dogs can eat nuts like pecans and break them out of the shell with their teeth used as nut crackers. Dogs are natural scavengers.

Well, they are not toxic, but given enough I wouldn't want to clean your carpet. There are websites through the SPCA and others that clearly list foods that are toxic to your pet. Some nuts, like macadamias are poisonous to dogs. You should keep a list of toxic foods, some react so quickly you may not have time to ask.

Yes they can but they really aren't very good for the dog. I don't let mine have them because of some of the chemical make up of the nut.

No! Dogs like this high-protein nut, but it makes them vomit and shake and gives them diarrhea. All tree nuts are potentially fatal to dogs.
