The TSA limits the amount of liquids you can carry on to a plane. Any liquid in excess of three ounces must be sent through as checked baggage. There are a few things, like medication, baby food, juice and/or formula that can be carried on to the plane in "reasonable quantities. "

When boarding a plane in the United States you will not be allowed to carry bottles of alcohol onto the plane. Alcohol is subject to the same restrictions as any other liquid. Liquid must be in a 100mL or less clear container.

You can pack alcohol in your luggage on domestic flights in the USA. International flights are a different story. You are normal subject to the laws of the country you are departing from and the country you are arriving at. Many destinations have restrictions for transporting alcohol into their countries.
