mostM parrotts can learn to mimmick the sounds we make. They can also mimmick other sounds such as a cat's meow or a vacuum cleaner etc... I have found that the male parrots are the best talkers and they can learn to talk best if alone in the cage without distractions from another bird. Otherwise he will only learn bird talk.
