Can a bobcat and a feline breed?

Yes they can interbreed but it's highly unlikely that they would. Bobcat would normally avoid all contact with a domestic cat and if forced into a confrontation they would think of fighting before they ever considered mating. Also due to the size difference the kittens are often to large for a domestic cat to give birth to naturally.

Although this is yet unproven many people suspect and some science agrees that it can happen. Their unoficial name is Pixie-cat. Most people who suspect to own them say they will generally look like bobcats and in some cases have some extra toes as most bobcats often do. It may seem odd,but yes they can be bred. It is also very rare,as they have to be brought up as babies,and some how form a special bond. In return,they may have an interest in each other.
