Oh, yes. The lovely mineral zinc from planet Earth can be pulverized and mixed with olive oil or some other similar substance to make it stay where you put it. But don't make it yourself when it is available cheap as is or embedded in a moisturizer and is a lot more fun to use.

Organic ones are available commercially, but they can be more pricey.
But, studies have shown it is great for your skin. It even helps prevent skin cancer.
