Are there any foods dogs can't eat?

My dog loves everything I give her - especially people food.

Avoid onions, chocolate, grapes, macadamia nuts, potato peels, green tomatoes, "sugar free" products, nutmeg, alcohol/caffine, and large amounts of broccoli. Other than that, feed your dog anything she likes, as long as she gets a balanced diet. It is a myth that "people food" is bad for dogs.

Chocolate, Onions, and Grapes are particularly toxic to dogs. Dogs love people food, but it is in the dogs best interest to stick with only giving it dog food.

Dogs can't eat chocolate. Even a small amount can poison a dog. Another food that dogs shouldn't eat is grapes, as they too are considered bad for them. Grapes and raisins can cause kidney failure in dogs. They should also not eat onions. They can cause hemolytic anemia.

Be careful giving your dog people food. Just like how our stomaches are upset by certain foods, dogs are the same. One this to really stay away from is chocolate.

Depending the kind of dog, there are plenty of things a dog can stomach. I've had a dog down an entire box of hot wings while I wasn't looking and the darn thing was fine in the morning. Dog cannot, however, eat chocolate. Feeding even small amounts of chocolate to a dog could be lethal.

They shouldn't eat the following items as it can cause them problems: onions cause bloat, chocolate can kill them, ice cream. cabbage causes bloat. chicken bones can cut them on the insides of their intestines. When giving human food it can cause eating problems for them.
