There are 66 books in the Bible. They range from Genesis to Revelation, and are arranged into the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament contains 39 books, and the New Testament contains 27 books. There are no canonical books left out of the Bible.

There are 66 books in the bible. It is surprising that there is 66 book in the bible and not the number 77 since the seven is such a special and important number in the bible.Seven is a very religious number when God rested on the seventh day after working for six days.
