Are the values of first edition books more than second and third editions?

I have several first edition books and want to know if they are worth more than second and third editions.

First editions tend to be worth more IF the title itself is valuable. You can look up titles at the Advanced Book Exchange (ABE) website. Today, books are published in huge numbers (first and subsequent editions), rendering all editions virtually worthless.

First editions are usually worth more than later editions. However, it depends on the book itself. If the book is only a few years old, it won't make a difference.

First Edition books are virtually always worth more than later editions, especially if the book itself is in good condition or a collectable.
