Are the L'oreal hair products you buy in the store the same ones they use in a salon?

I notice a difference.

Most salons don't use L'oreal hair products, but that's just because they use more expensive product lines like Nexus, Biolage, Paul Mitchell and other more expensive brands. L'oreal is an inexpensive way to mimic what you get in the salon.

Usually if you want salon quality products you need to purchase them in a salon. L'oreal isn't one of the popular brands used in salons so that's probably why you notice a difference.

No, the products available to the consumer in the public stores are not the same products avaialble in salons. The difference is the salon products are made to be used and purchased by licensed professionals only. The chemicals are stronger and pose a greater risk and, therefore, needs to be applied by someone with training.

The L'oreal company has two lines of hair products, one for sale in stores and another for professional use. The second one has the words L'Oreal professional on it. You can buy the products of this series at some salons.

You need to be careful when buying salong styling products at the drug store. Sometimes these products are older, and do not give you the same result. In fact, this is printed Paul Mitchell bottles, it tells you to only buy your products in salons because of this very reason.

It's the same hair product. Probably a more expensive version, but its the same hair product. Its probably the way the salon styles you hair that makes you think its different.
