exercise

Are stationary bikes the safest way to exercise?

It seems like swimming (in a public pool) makes you too susceptible to very bad germs.

No exercise is completely safe and everyone should consult with a physician prior to beginning an exercise regimen. If you choose to use a stationary bike, you can reduce the germs by ensuring you clean the seat and handlebars prior to every use. Running is another safe exercise whether outside or on a treadmill though watch out for cars.

A stationary bike is probably one of the safest ways to exercise. You can do it at home, at your own pace, and if it breaks, nothing bad will happen to you. The only risk is of touching someone else's sweat (at a gym) or perhaps falling off, if you're too fatigued.

You can actually look for stationary seat-bikes that have pedals in front of you rather than underneath. It's more comfortable and lends itself to using your arms for other exercises simultaneously.
