Whether a rash is contagious or not depends on the type of rash that it may be. A rash caused by an allergic reaction, dry skin, or skin irritation will not be contagious to anyone else. A rash caused by fungus, bacteria, or disease may be contagious through contact with the affected area.

Often times rashes can be contagious. However, there are plenty of rashes, such as eczema, that are not contagious at all.

Whether or not a rash is contagious largely depends on the type of rash you have. If you have a rash via heat or allergic reaction to something, then no. If you have a rash from something like poison ivy, oak, etc, then it's absolutely possible it's contagious. Hope that helps.
