When I starting to have problems driving at night, my eye professional prescribed glasses that cut down on the glare of oncoming headlights. I have used them extensively for about a year and have had no problems.

As long as the night driving glasses are the right type. They should have polycarbonate lenses. Must have anti-reflective coating (yellow or amber) and anti-glare coating. They are recommended by eyecare professionals. Benefit of improved visibility on dark roads with little or no light. If no special coatings, more hazardous.

Yes, if you need glasses to read you need glasses to drive. If an oncoming car blinds you with their high beams, look to the right of the road and follow the white line with your eyes until the oncoming car has passed.
