Genital warts are, in fact, an STD. They are caused by the human papilloma virus and are contagious when other skin comes in contact with the warts, such as during sexual activity.

I am afraid you might actually have a Sexually Transmitted Disease(infection). Yes it is extremely contagious, I highly recommend not having intercourse till you get it check out, if you do decide to have sex, please have your partner wear a condom.

Yes genital warts are contagious, and they are a very common sexually transmitted disease. You get them from a strain of the HPV virus. Genital warts can be passed from person to person through direct skin to skin contact. There is no cure for HPV, once you get it you'll be a carrier.

Genital warts are considered an STD. They are a sexually tranmistted disease and are contagious through contact by either genital to genital or genital to oral contact. Practicing safe sex is the only way to reduce the rate of contracting all STDs.
