Are debt consolidation companies really scams?

Many, but not all of these companies are shady businesses, if not outright scams. Check with your local better business bureau or look on the website of famed consumer investigators and you'll find honest help with controlling your debt.

This is only personal opinion but from my expereince with them there seem to be scams. Their really do not due much for you. You still have to deal with the phone calls and letters. And their want money to help you before their do anything. In other words their talk alot and do nothing to really help

Some of them are and some of them aren't. Make sure you do your research I used one and it wa wonderful, but I did lots of research.

They are not scams, it's more like you have to read the fine print in your contract. There are good and bad to them.
