Are Barnes and Noble of bookstore fame real people?

Charles Barnes opened a book printing business in Wheaton, Illinois in 1873. The first real bookshop was opened by his son William Barnes in partnership with G. Clifford Noble in New York in 1917. The original book shop was at 31 West 15th Street, but was moved to 18th Street and Fifth Avenue during the depression.

Barnes and Noble are the last names of actual real people. The original founders are Charles Barnes - owned a book publishing company, his son William, and G. Clifford Noble came into partnership with him.
