Are at-home dermabrasion kits safe?

They are much cheaper than the doctor's office.

Yes there are safe. Just make sure that you follow the instructions exactly, especially when using a new product. Make sure not to overuse the product as this could be bad for your skin.

As with most At-Home medical choices that are not administered by a professional, you are making a large change at a cheap price. They can work out, but in many cases they are not very safe.

Dermabrasion is a medical procedure carrying a infection risk because the the top layers of facial skin are removed. Home kits are cheaper, but less effective, and not as sanitary.

Yes, but pick your kit carefully. The kit with some better reviews is the Neutrogena microdermabrasion. Kit is simple and easy to use with no side effects. Using this kit 11 times is about four times cheaper than a professional doing the job.
