You can still have your period or have some spotting if you are pregnant. I would call your doctor and let them know how heavy it is to be safe.

If you were pregnant and you're bleeding contact your doctor right away. If you are having a period at your usual time and you think you were pregnant you could be having a miscarriage. Most women who miscarry do it before they're aware they're pregnant.

Its hard to tell. If you have had a positive pregnancy test and are bleeding you may be having a miscarriage or could be having implantation spotting. If you have not had a postive pregnancy test, then its probably a period.

If you are pregnant and if you are spotting or bleeding then it is very important to get yourself checked immediately as it could lead to a miscarraige. When one is pregnant one cannot have periods, as the uterus holds the child and so the uterus lining is not supposed to break and come out as period.
