Am I expected to donate money when I get free return address labels?

While it would be nice of you to donate some money in return for the free address labels it is not a requirement.

Organizations may hope that you donate, but because the labels are unsolicited merchandise, they cannot, by law, require you to do so.

I think that most people feel obligated or guilty if they do not donate when they receive free address labels in the mail. The problem is that once you donate to one organization, you will receive labels in the mail from many organizations.

No. I believe you are not. But if you want to donate money you can surely go ahead and do so. If you donate you will be helping out somebody in need.
