A due date calculator says I'm 6 weeks pregnant based on my LMP. Is is that gestational age or fetal age?

Answer by  mandie (12)

It is gestational age, doctors go by the 1st day of your last known period so by the time you conceive you are already considered to be 2 weeks pregnant.

Most due date calulators will base your pregnancy on the date of your LMP since many women do not know the actual date of their ovulation/conception. These calculate the gestational age of your pregnancy. Fetal age is the actual ages of the fetus, starting with conception.
